Always on in his kitchen, radio has been a part of Ethan Brooks’ life for as long as he can remember, yet becoming a presenter on Wey Valley came to him somewhat by chance in the summer of 2023.
Joining the station through Alton College’s work experience programme he spent several months working across a variety of shows, including The Acoustic Cafe, and Chris Stone’s afternoon slot, where he was taught how to produce my own content. From there he progressed to covering for others before finally gaining my own weekly programme.
Since then, he has not looked back!
As a local to the area there is nothing he loves more then getting to play a key role in providing information and entertainment for Alton and the surrounding areas. Over his time at the station, he have thrown himself into many opportunities helping to provide coverage of the Alton Classic Car Show, Jalsa Salana, and many of the local fetes we all know and love.
Raised on his mother’s expansive record collection he will always try to play as many songs as possible from the 80s and the 90s, with of course some curveballs too!
