Breakfast with Pippa Head — local news, events and the Wey Valley Radio mix of music to start your day

Pippa Head is a radio presenter, producer and voice-over professional with a broadcasting career spanning more than three decades.

Pippa’s radio journey began in the 1990s in local radio at County Sound, before moving on to Radio Mercury and later The Eagle. She spent two memorable years as “The Flying Eye”, reporting live from above the South Coast’s roads and traffic hotspots, before going on to present daytime shows on Ocean FM and Power FM.

In more recent years, Pippa has worked with the BBC and Lite RADIO, alongside a wide range of freelance projects including community and hospital radio, podcast production, voice work and audio content creation.

Away from the microphone, Pippa’s proudest role is being a mum. Her eldest child, a son, is serving in the Royal Navy, while her youngest, a 14-year-old daughter, keeps her on her toes and, by Pippa’s own admission, is already far cleverer than she is!
Home life is completed by two much-loved cats, Ziggy and Smudge, who ensure there’s never a dull moment.

Pippa continues to combine her love of radio and audio with family life, proving that it’s possible to juggle microphones, podcasts, cats and teenagers—most of the time.

Join Pip for Breakfast on Wey Valley Radio – weekday mornings 7-9 – Tuesday to Friday!
