Wayne Elliott

Wayne Elliott is our local news guy after approaching the radio station in 2024.

His background is actually in weather, he’s a professional meteorologist and still works for the Met Office. He led the organisation’s Press Office and Media team as well as presenting the weather on BBC South in the late 90’s based in Southampton.

A lifelong fan of radio and music in general, he got a taste of radio broadcasting as the station weather guy on BBC stations Southern Counties and Solent.

Wayne’s taste in music ranges across the decades loving many of the classic 60’s material but undoubtedly his era is the later 70’s and 80’ through into the 90’s.

He now lives in Holybourne and is a keen bird watcher and lover of all things outdoors as well as keeping fit through various sports. He is married and has two daughters in their 20’s, both live, study/work locally.
