12 til 1 every Sunday afternoon, the Sunday Roast with Tayley and Bev. A fun filled hour of great music and fun, Sundays just got entertaining!
Beverly Edmunds-Jones joined the Wey Valley Radio family in the summer of 2020, a year where we needed community even more. With Wey Valley Radio being at the heart of the Alton community, Bev was eager to be involved.
The energy, the care and variety of shows that the station offers means there’s something for everyone.
Her background is in Event management and community fundraising. She has collaborated with Holybourne Theatre and The Alton Arts Festival during its inaugural year in 2024, staging a comedy night as part of the festivities. She says “It’s all about putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising and building awareness too, it’s important and it matters.”
For a few years in the run up to that time she also worked closely with the Alton British Legion team providing regular comedy nights there – happy nights full of laughter.
Over the past few years she has presented community podcasts throughout Hampshire and Surrey, interviewing both local businesses and entrepreneurs as well as people with interesting stories to tell.
You know what they say, everyone has at least one’ book’ in them, so it’s great to talk and to hear all their tales.
Talking of books, she loves to write too, finished one book, hoping to get it published and writing another as we speak.
Bev is the co presenter of ‘The Sunday Roast’ with Tayley.
