Each week, the Country Music Show delivers the very best in country, Americana, roots, and bluegrass to audiences around the world.

Ben Atkinson’s radio journey began at 103 The Eye in his home town of Melton Mowbray, where he first took the reins of The Country Music Show before turning his hand to all sorts, from easy listening and Friday-night entertainment to Drivetime, plus live outside broadcasts and on-air interviews along the way.

He went on to study Media Production at the University of Lincoln, where in 2012 he helped found the university’s first student radio station, before being selected for the BBC’s prestigious Production Talent Pool – work that took him to BBC MediaCityUK and the BBC World Service in London.

A musician and writer as well as a presenter, Ben has shared his love of country music with listeners around the world for years.

Now he brings the show to Wey Valley Radio.
