Our funding

Wey Valley Radio is a not-for-profit community radio station, run by volunteers for the people of Alton and the surrounding villages, so funding for our work is gratefully received. The station is financed through a mix of local advertising and sponsorship, grants, and donations, and every penny goes back into keeping us on air.

As part of our commitment to transparency, this page is where we publish information about the grants we receive and how they are spent.

Ofcom Community Radio Fund

The Community Radio Fund is administered by Ofcom on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and provides grants to help community radio stations like ours cover their core costs. Stations that receive a grant are required to report to Ofcom on how the money was spent, and we publish the non-confidential version of each report here.
